Matt was recently interview by SportingNews.com about his post-WWE career.
Most wrestling fans know Matt Hardy as the man who helped put the tag-team division on the map along with his brother Jeff during the WWE’s Attitude Era in memorable matches filled with daredevil stunts. But that was a decade ago, and it’s been four years since he has last worked for the entertainment giant.
But that hasn’t slowed down Hardy, who is finding a second wind working for various promotions around the country.
“This is the most fun I’ve had in wrestling because there’s no pressure, there’s no stress,” said Hardy. “There’s people that contact me all the time with decent offers and I’ll go I’m not interested. I really am my own boss and it’s nice.”
Hardy understands the glitz and glamour of the WWE, having lived it for nearly 12 years of his life. He also understands there is much more to working for that company. Now at the age of 40, he says it’s not for him anymore.
