Sammy Guevara (C) vs. Isiah Kassidy
On that note, we hear the familiar sounds of Sammy Guevara’s theme song and out comes “The Spanish God” of the Inner Circle for his latest “Open Challenge” defense of the TNT title.
He settles in the ring where we see his opponent, Isiah Kassidy, already standing. “The Dapper Yapper” Justin Roberts wraps up his pre-match ring introductions and the bell sounds to get this one off-and-running.
The commentators point out that Guevara’s ribs are still taped up, and after he enjoys the early offensive control, we see Kassidy take over and focus his attack on the injured ribs of the TNT champ.
Guevara fights back into the lead a moment or two later and ends up knocking Kassidy out of the ring and out to the floor. He builds up a head of steam and goes flying, launching himself from the ring and splashing onto Kassidy on the floor.
Back in the ring, Guevara continues to dominate the action, taking it to the Private Party member until we see Matt Hardy get involved. While the referee is distracted by the other Private Party member, Marq Quen, Hardy hops on the ring apron and hits his finisher on Guevara.
Sammy bounces from the hard part of the ring apron and lands on the floor, where we see Kassidy follow up on the assist provided by “Big Money” Matt Hardy as Excalibur talks us into a mid-match commercial break.
When we return from the break, we see Guevara fight from underneath and ends up once again taking over on offense. He goes to finish this one off, heading up the top-rope. He settles on the top but before he can come off with his trademark 450 splash, we hear Andrade El Idolo’s theme hit.
Out comes Andrade to provide a distraction, and it helps as Kassidy takes full advantage by knocking Guevara off the top. After the assist from Andrade, Kassidy starts putting together a hell of an offensive run, capped off by a big senton off the top for a close near fall.
Andrade and Hardy are shown arguing at ringside, with Andrade asking why Hardy’s man couldn’t finish him off just now. As the focus resumes on the action in the ring, we see Guevara fight back into competitive form. He decks Kassidy with a pele kick and both guys are now slow to get back to their feet.
Finally, Guevara gets up and knocks Kassidy down before heading to the top and launching himself onto Quen on the floor at ringside. He heads to the ring apron and springboards into the ring, connecting with a cutter for a close near fall. After the Double Fantasy Cutter fails to wrap this one up, Guevara follows up by hitting his GTH for the pin fall victory to retain his TNT title in what was an excellent match.
Winner and STILL TNT Champion: Sammy Guevara
He hits the ring and with the numbers game no longer in Hardy and Andrade’s favor, the high-tail is out of the ring and to the back. Before exiting the ring, Darby does his trademark gesture to Sammy, which prompts Jericho on commentary to question if that was a stamp of approval or a warning from the fellow former TNT Champion.

I’m sick & tired of The #AHFO disappointing me. Make me proud on #AEWRampage, @IsiahKassidy.. Or I may be forced to BREAK you. #AEWDynamite pic.twitter.com/yqp5B3EPum
— MATT HARDY (@MATTHARDYBRAND) February 3, 2022
Up walks Andrade El Idolo who is also critical of the HFO guys coming up short last week. Hardy says he knows and that’s why Isiah Kassidy is gonna kick Sammy Guevara’s ass on Rampage. Andrade makes some demands and then Hardy grabs Kassidy by the face and tells him to get the job done on Rampage and not to let him down.

Private Party vs. Jurassic Express (C)
On that note, we hear from Matt Hardy and Private Party briefly. Christian Cage then cuts in and talks about how Hardy was never as good as himself in the tag-team scene during their careers, before pointing out his belief that the same can be said about Jurassic Express being superior to Private Party.
Private Party then chimes in and talks about banging the asses of the champs. Jungle Boy fires back and says he’s heard the ass-banging claims before and mentions how they have defeated every combo that The Hardy Family Office has to offer.
Mark Henry wraps up the interview with his catchphrase and then we head back inside the arena where Private Party’s theme hits. “Shots! Shots!” Out they come and after settling in the ring, their music dies down.
Now the theme for the champs hits and out comes Jurassic Express. The duo of Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus make their way down to the ring for this week’s Beach Break “Championship Friday” main event match. The bell sounds and we’re off-and-running with this one.
We see Private Party jump the champs and immediately take the offensive lead. They end up connecting with their Gin ‘N’ Juice double-team finisher straight out of the gate and the commentary team thinks this one is over. Instead, we see the champs kick out and take over on offense.
The champs dominate, as Jungle Boy flies all over the place and gets the crowd on its’ feet. Luchasaurus hits the ring and helps with some double-team attempts, but ultimately, Private Party takes back control of the action as we head to a mid-match commercial break.
When we return from the break, we see Andrade El Idolo in a luxary box suite high in the stands watching on at his investments in the ring. The Hardy Family Office duo are dominating the action still, and the commentators inform us that has been the case throughout the entire break as well.
Finally we see Luchasaurus try to crawl to his corner to tag in the fresher Jungle Boy. Now we see him fight off Marq Quen and Isiah Kassidy, which allows him to finally make the much-needed tag to Jungle Boy. Jungle Boy hits the ring like a bat out of hell, flying from one end of the ring to the other and back again for dives to the floor on both members of the opposing team.
Back in the ring, we see Private Party start to double team Jungle Boy to slow him down. They end up having to deal with Luchasaurus and he does a good job of helping Jungle Boy fight back into competitive form, but hurts his knee in the process. Jungle Boy hits a reverse doomsday device with a moonsault twist and then we see The Gunn Club watching on from the crowd as Excalibur puts them over as the number two ranked contenders in the tag-team division in AEW.
We see a crazy Silly String spot from the challengers but Jungle Boy fires back up and knocks one member of the team into the other. He goes for the cover but doesn’t get the pin, so he transitions to his Snare Trap submission finisher. As he cranks back, we see the other member of Private Party hit a shooting star press to break it up. Now they make the tag and the fresher member of the team hits the ring and goes to work on Jungle Boy. They again look for the Gin ‘N’ Juice finisher but Jungle Boy counters with a Canadian Destroyer. Luchasaurus hits the ring and they hit the Jurassic Express finisher for the pin fall victory to retain the titles.
Winners and STILL AEW Tag-Team Champions: Jurassic Express
