Sheamus had made it his mission to crush Jeff Hardy’s comeback dreams, but The Charismatic Enigma proved once again that his determination is able to overcome even the stiffest challenges. The Celtic Warrior bludgeoned Hardy throughout the early stages of the match, as the iconic Superstar’s absence from the ring seemed to hamper his momentum. Sheamus appeared headed for a definitive Brogue Kick, but Hardy dodged the attack and rolled up The Celtic Warrior for a crafty win.

There’s plenty to still be written in Jeff Hardy’s WWE story, and the next chapter begins this week on Friday Night SmackDown.
The Charismatic Enigma made his return to action earlier this year by defeating King Corbin on the blue brand in his first match of 2020. In recent weeks, Michael Cole has led the promotion of Hardy’s WWE journey and set the stage for the former WWE Champion to reestablish himself on the blue brand. Only one problem: No one cleared that plan with Sheamus, as The Celtic Warrior has voiced his frustrations and anger with the ongoing Hardy tributes.
What will be in store when the iconic highflyer makes his return, and will Sheamus be far behind?
Tune in to SmackDown at 8/7 C on FOX to see Hardy back in action.

Jeff Hardy made his long-awaited return to Friday Night SmackDown, taking on King Corbin in one-on-one action with Elias — who has been bickering with King Corbin as of late—providing guest commentary. The Charismatic Enigma looked as sharp as ever in his return to the ring, bringing his unique and unorthodox brand of offense right to the King of the Ring.
In the critical moments, as King Corbin was mounting an offense, Elias began to play a tune at ringside, distracting the King and allowing Jeff Hardy to finish him off with a Swanton Bomb for the win.
Advantage Elias.

In an absolute dream match, The Usos defended the SmackDown Tag Team Titles against The Hardy Boyz on SmackDown LIVE.
The two legendary Hall of Fame-bound tag teams went at it with intensity as Matt & Jeff pushed the pace and staggered Jimmy & Jey with several of their signature moves. Jey regained the advantage for his team after connecting with the big splash, but the Hardys survived the onslaught. When The Charismatic Enigma avoided a double splash, The Hardy Boyz rallied, putting Jey down with a Twist of Fate and Swanton Bomb that secured them their eighth Tag Team Championship reign.
The good vibes wouldn’t last long though, as Lars Sullivan arrived and picked up right where he left off after attacking Kurt Angle last night. Matt & Jeff attempted to bring the fight to the monstrous Sullivan, but The Freak laid them out with a pair of Freak Accidents and nailed Matt with a devastating flying headbutt.
The Hardy Boyz were the new SmackDown Tag Team Champions, but they were also Lars’ latest victims.
