WWE Friday Night SmackDown Results – September 11th, 2020

Intercontinental Championship Match: Jeff Hardy (c) vs. AJ StylesBefore the match can start, Sami Zayn walks out on the stage. Zayn says this match isn’t for the IC title. Zayn is the IC Champion. Just because he took a couple of months off for personal reasons WWE saw fit to crown a sham champion. This match needs to be on record as an exhibition match. Adam Pearce and security walk out and tells Zayn its time to go. Zayn screams this is an insult. Styles attacks Hardy from behind. When the bell rings, Styles misses a splash in the corner. Hardy lands the Twist of Fate. Hardy misses the Swanton. After the break, Hardy trips Styles so he hits his face on the ring steps.

Hardy leaps off the steps for a leg lariat. Hardy lands the move but crashes into the barricade in the process. Back in the ring, Hardy tries his patented double leg drop but Styles’ blocks. Hardy hits the whisper in the wind. Hardy calls for the Twist of Fury. Styles avoids it and hits the Ushigoroshi. Hardy kicks out. Styles calls for the Styles Clash. Hardy reverses it into a double leg drop for a near fall. Styles traps Hardy’s bad knee and drives his elbow into it. Dropkick by Hardy. Hardy misses a dropkick int he corner. Styles sets up the Phenomenal Forearm. Zayn appears out fo nowhere and pulls Styles off the apron. Zayn attacks Styles. Zayn rolls into the ring and hits a Helluva Kick on Hardy.

No Contest.

As Hardy is walking up the ramp he collapses.

After the break, Styles says Zayn has to stop. Hardy cheated to win the title and now Zayn claims to be the real champion. Styles says he can beat Zayn and Hardy. Styles doesn’t care what kind of match it is.

AEW Dynamite Results – September 9th, 2020

Matt Hardy comes out and gets a big reception. He thanks everybody. He said Saturday he suffered a very scary fall and know that it frightened a lot of people. He thanks everybody for the outpour of support. He is very happy to stand in front of everybody and tell them that he’s expected to make a full recovery. He says he’s a lucky man and shows Reby and his newborn baby in the crowd. He apologizes to his family and apologizes to the fans. He thanks them for their support. He said the Broken Rules match didn’t turn out the way he wanted. He says he’s going to get healthy and when he does he plans to chase his first AEW Championship. He notes Private Party in the crowd. He says pro wrestling is his love and passion. His journey is not over. He thanks the fans once more before exiting.

AEW All Out Results – September 5th, 2020

Matt Hardy and Sammy Guevara met at tonight’s All Out in a Broken Rules match, with Hardy having to win or else he’d be forced to leave All Elite Wrestling. After a scary pause in action due to a fall from Hardy, the superstar was able to surprisingly come back, taking down Guevara in the process for the win.

Early in the match, Hardy took a nasty fall through a table, taking a hard bump in the process. After answering the 10 count, Hardy seemed to be actually hurt and was attended to by AEW staff. However, after a delay, Hardy came back, and he and Guevara fought their way up the scaffolding before Hardy knocked Guevara down and through the stage, ending the match in a 10 count.

Zayn is carrying his IC title. Zayn gets upset he isn’t announced as the Intercontinental Champion. Zayn says they need to redo his entrance since he was announced incorrectly and his graphic was wrong. Jeff Hardy interrupts and says if Zayn wanted a shot all he had to do was ask. Zayn says why would he want aa shot at something he already has. AJ Styles walks out and says he is the uncrowned Champion. Styles attacks Hardy. Styles and Zayn stomp Hardy together. Styles attacks Zayn from behind. Styles tries to Styles Clash Zayn but Hardy breaks it up and drops Styles with the Twist of Fate. Before Hardy can do anything, Zayn hits the Helluva Kick.
