Firing Jeff Hardy
Carter invites Jeff Hardy to the ring – for one last chance. Hardy answers the call and climbs into the ring, inviting Carter to fire him. Carter warns that he can take it all away.
Carter instructs Hardy to drop to his knees, beg for his job and to kiss the TNA World Title as if it were a king’s ring. Hardy drops to one knee and says, “You can’t fire me because I quit! You can take this job and shove it – I ain’t working here no more!”
Ethan Carter screams, “You’re fired! You’re fired, Jeff! Camera, look at me – this show is over!” Impact goes dark.

TNA World Champion EC3 defeated Matt Hardy. EC3 comes out with Tyrus and calls out Jeff Hardy. Hardy makes his entrance, but EC3 tells them to cut his music. They get the big match intro out of the way and go to work. Really fun match, all the expected high spots and good interaction including Jeff and Tyrus at ringside. Jeff constantly sneaks high-fives with audience members and cheers on his brother when EC3 isn’t looking. At one point, EC3 demands Jeff punch Matt while he’s draped across the bottom rope, so he hits him as weakly as possible which gets a nice laugh from the crowd. Finish sees shenanigans with the title belt resulting in EC3 hitting the One Percenter for the victory. Post match, Jeff and Matt drop Tyrus and EC3 with Twist of Fates and chair shots and celebrate to send the crowd home happy.

Ladies and Gentlemen…E-C-3
Carter instructs Jeff to tell the crowd to stop chanting “Hardy” before billing himself as the greatest World Champion to have ever lived. Carter says no one can stop him; Rockstar Spud disagrees. Spud says Carter berating his assistant seems familiar.
Spud tells EC3 he’s garbage compared to Hardy; the crowd chants, “You are garbage.”
Carter asks Spud if garbage would be the only undefeated TNA World Heavyweight Champion in history; if garbage would defeat Sting, Kurt Angle and Bully Ray; if garbage would be who the company is built around. Carter lays out Spud and instructs Jeff to leave the Impact Zone.
Spud attacks Carter. Tyrus comes to his aid and before long, Jeff Hardy finds himself instructed to take out Spud. He does so, reluctantly.

A “Hardy” Assistant
Carter demands Hardy’s presence. He instructs the production crew to shut off Hardy’s music – and for Hardy to bring him and Tyrus bottles of water. Then, Carter reveals a gift – a huge EC3 face cut-out. He says it’s for Hardy to hold while introducing him for the next match.
Hardy backs Carter into his corner and Rockstar Spud enters. He and Hardy deliver a double suplex moments before EC3 sends Spud over the top rope. Tyrus drives Spud into the rings post before feeding him back to EC3 for a front-face suplex.
Tyrus becomes legal and begins choking Spud. He spreads Spud’s legs and splashes onto his groin! From then on, it’s total domination of the “Ultimate Underdog.”
EC3 reenters with a drop toe hold and choke on the bottom rope. EC3 and Tyrus call for Jeff Hardy to take a shot using EC3’s face sign. Hardy refuses and the distraction allows Spud to tag Matt Hardy.
Hardy storms the ring with a series of clotheslines and a Side Effect. He sets up a Twist of Fate, but Carter counters and Tyrus tags in. Hardy fends off Tyrus and Spud tags himself in. Spud finds himself in a precarious position as EC3 demands Jeff Hardy smack him with a chair. Hardy refuses; Tyrus delivers a spike to the throat for the win.
Result: EC3 & Tyrus (via pinfall)
