Relationship of the Year
Matt Hardy and Lita had their differences toward the end of the year, but that doesn’t change the fact that they were the Federation’s defining couple of 2001.
The two worked well as a team. Often, when either Matt or Jeff found themselves in trouble, Lita would climb to the top rope and unleash her unique hurracanrana and send the attacker twirling to the ground.
For a brief time in December, Lita became tangled in the middle of a skirmish between the two brothers. That culminated with Lita serving as the special guest referee for a match between the Hardys at Vengeance. Lita was forced to count the pinfall on her own boyfriend. The decision didn’t sit well with Matt at first, but the two are back on good terms and more in love than ever!
Tag Team of the Year
The baddest Boyz in the World Wrestling Federation are brothers, and their last name isn’t Dudley.
The Hardy Boyz earned the surprise nod as the top tandem in the Federation by securing 35 percent of the vote. That edged out Undertaker and Kane (25 percent) and the Dudley Boyz (23 percent).
The high-flying brothers of Team Xtreme repeatedly wowed crowds from coast to coast and beyond with their live for the moment attitude that prompted them to put it all on the line in and out of the ring.

The Most Electrifying Man in Sports Entertainment returned to the ring after having a lengthy suspension lifted by Mr. McMahon. The Rock had an immediate impact as he defeated Booker T for the WCW Championship!
Rob Van Dam’s acrobatic style had already earned him the title Mr. Pay-Per-View before heading into SummerSlam, and Jeff Hardy was an accomplished daredevil himself. Put those two together in a ring and toss a few ladders into the squared circle and stand back to watch a landmark event. RVD and Jeff Hardy put on one of the most memorable spectacles of 2001 at SummerSlam during a Ladder Match for the Hardcore Championship. In the end, Rob Van Dam lived up to his billing by taking yet another Pay-Per-View win.
