AEW Dynamite Results – July 14th, 2021

Matt Hardy vs. Christian Cage
Excalibur notes that Christian has never beat Matt Hardy one on one. The two men lock up and Christian powers Matt to the outside. They still remain locked up until Christian turns it into side headlock. He sends Matt into the guardrail before he takes to the skies to the outside and on top of Matt.

Back in the ring. He nailsl his reverse DDT and gets a two count. Some patented uppercuts in the corner. 10 punch. Matt elbows free and then drops Christian via a DDT onto the steel steps as he hung over the ropes. Back in the ring, Matt Hardy hits a neckbreaker. Two count. He catapult’s Christian’s throat into the second rope. An elbow drop for a two count.

Back from break, Christian catches Matt with a spear and gets a near fall. He hangs Matt out over the top rope and climbs up top . Frog splash by Christian for a near fall. Christian goes for a tornado DDT up top, but Matt fights him off. Both men are up top . Matt nails a superplex. He covers, but only good for two. Christian nails an inside crdle for two. Matt goes for a Killswitch, but Matt low blows him. Twist of Fate, 1-2-no! Matt can’t believe it. Matt locks in the leech submission and chokes Christian out on the outside. The ref begins the 10 count and answers right at nine. He immediately hits the Killswitch and gets the W.

WINNER: Christian Cage

HFO go to attack Christian post-match, but Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus come out for some back-up.

AEW Dark Results – July 13th, 2021

Matt Hardy (w/ HFO) vs. Jah-C
Hardy asks Jah-C if he’s sure if he wants to fight him. Jah-C does, but Hardy gains control off the lock up. Jah-C matches Hardy and gets Hardy in a hammerlock, which Hardy reverses. Jah-C reaches the ropes. Hardy breaks the hold but dumps Jah-C outside. Hardy with a baseball slide dropkick through the ropes as HFO distracted Jah-C. Hardy squeezes Jah-C’s face and shows it to the camera.

Hardy mocks the crowd. Jah-C finds an opening and hits a few single-leg dropkicks then an elbow drop for two. Hardy hits a few body shots. Jah-C flips over a suplex but runs into a Side Effect. Hardy stares in disgust at Jah-C and hits another Side Effect followed up by clubbing blows. Hardy taps out Jah-C with a The Leech for the win.

Winner: Matt Hardy

– Post-match: Hardy instructs Jora Johl, who was sitting at ringside, to get him a towel. Hardy instructs Johl to towel him down, and Johl does so reluctantly. HFO raise their hands in celebration as Hardy approves of Johl’s labor.

In a promo filmed earlier in the night, Matt Hardy talks about his history with Christian Cage and how he’ll complete the hat trick and beat Christian. Hardy says he’ll deny Christian his moment because he didn’t get his moment because of the pandemic. He says Christian won’t just walk in after all the hard work he’s done. He says tomorrow will be his moment not Christian’s moment. “If you cross Big Money Matt, you will pay.” He says he’ll send Christian back in a home. “The truth is the truth.”

AEW Dark: Elevation Results – July 12th, 2021

Hardy tells production to kill the music and asks HFO if they’ve seen a bigger loser than Fuego Del Sol. He makes fun of Fuego for being so ugly, which is why he wears a mask. He says he will “DELETE” the idea of Fuego being an underdog. He says he will beat “loser number one” in Fuego, then “loser number two” tomorrow and “loser” Christian Cage on Wed.

Matt Hardy (w/ HFO) vs. Fuego Del Sol
Fuego goes at Hardy right away. He gets a quick pinning combination. He tries for a tornado DDT, but Hardy dumps him outside. Hardy smashes Fuego’s head on the turnbuckles and takes in all the boos. Hardy drops Fuego with a shoulder block for two as the crowd starts chanting, “Let’s go Fuego!”

Hardy applies a cravat. Fuego with a chinbuster to escape, but he runs into a Side Effect. Hardy sets up Fuego up top. Fuego cuts off Hardy. A headbutt staggers the two of them. Fuego with a top rope rana, cover 1-2-no! Hardy catches Fuego in a Twist of Fate. He applies The Leech, and Fuego taps out.

Winner: Matt Hardy
