AEW Tag-Team Championship
Private Party vs. Jurassic Express (C)
We shoot backstage for Mark Henry’s pre-main event split-screen interview with the competitors in tonight’s headline bout, which will see the AEW Tag-Team titles on-the-line as Jurassic Express defends against Private Party.

On that note, we hear from Matt Hardy and Private Party briefly. Christian Cage then cuts in and talks about how Hardy was never as good as himself in the tag-team scene during their careers, before pointing out his belief that the same can be said about Jurassic Express being superior to Private Party.

Private Party then chimes in and talks about banging the asses of the champs. Jungle Boy fires back and says he’s heard the ass-banging claims before and mentions how they have defeated every combo that The Hardy Family Office has to offer.

Mark Henry wraps up the interview with his catchphrase and then we head back inside the arena where Private Party’s theme hits. “Shots! Shots!” Out they come and after settling in the ring, their music dies down.

Now the theme for the champs hits and out comes Jurassic Express. The duo of Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus make their way down to the ring for this week’s Beach Break “Championship Friday” main event match. The bell sounds and we’re off-and-running with this one.

We see Private Party jump the champs and immediately take the offensive lead. They end up connecting with their Gin ‘N’ Juice double-team finisher straight out of the gate and the commentary team thinks this one is over. Instead, we see the champs kick out and take over on offense.

The champs dominate, as Jungle Boy flies all over the place and gets the crowd on its’ feet. Luchasaurus hits the ring and helps with some double-team attempts, but ultimately, Private Party takes back control of the action as we head to a mid-match commercial break.

When we return from the break, we see Andrade El Idolo in a luxary box suite high in the stands watching on at his investments in the ring. The Hardy Family Office duo are dominating the action still, and the commentators inform us that has been the case throughout the entire break as well.

Finally we see Luchasaurus try to crawl to his corner to tag in the fresher Jungle Boy. Now we see him fight off Marq Quen and Isiah Kassidy, which allows him to finally make the much-needed tag to Jungle Boy. Jungle Boy hits the ring like a bat out of hell, flying from one end of the ring to the other and back again for dives to the floor on both members of the opposing team.

Back in the ring, we see Private Party start to double team Jungle Boy to slow him down. They end up having to deal with Luchasaurus and he does a good job of helping Jungle Boy fight back into competitive form, but hurts his knee in the process. Jungle Boy hits a reverse doomsday device with a moonsault twist and then we see The Gunn Club watching on from the crowd as Excalibur puts them over as the number two ranked contenders in the tag-team division in AEW.

We see a crazy Silly String spot from the challengers but Jungle Boy fires back up and knocks one member of the team into the other. He goes for the cover but doesn’t get the pin, so he transitions to his Snare Trap submission finisher. As he cranks back, we see the other member of Private Party hit a shooting star press to break it up. Now they make the tag and the fresher member of the team hits the ring and goes to work on Jungle Boy. They again look for the Gin ‘N’ Juice finisher but Jungle Boy counters with a Canadian Destroyer. Luchasaurus hits the ring and they hit the Jurassic Express finisher for the pin fall victory to retain the titles.

Winners and STILL AEW Tag-Team Champions: Jurassic Express

Mark Henry interviews Orange Cassidy and Matt Hardy ahead of their match. “Big Money Matt” warns “Freshly Squeezed” that some of the lumberjacks actually have integrity. Both men agree that their rivalry will end tonight.

Lumberjack Match: Orange Cassidy vs. Matt Hardy
Hardy offers to pay any lumberjack $20,000 if they knock Orange Cassidy down. The offer prompts the lumberjacks to brawl as “Freshly Squeezed” takes the fight to Hardy. Cassidy, usually cool as a cucumber, is fired up right away. He gets an early two count on Hardy. The Blade attacks Cassidy from behind as the H.F.O. is clearly making an impact on this match.

Hardy takes control and slams Cassidy into the turnbuckle again and again. During a commercial, lumberjacks continue to repeatedly attack “Freshly Squeezed.” Hardy is firmly in control, and he drops Cassidy with a suplex. The Best Friends, Cassidy included, eventually dive onto the lumberjacks. Wheeler Yuta and Chuck Taylor launch Cassidy onto Hardy and the lumberjacks. Yuta tosses Hardy back into the ring, but Hardy catches “Freshly Squeezed” with a Side Effect.

H.F.O. and the Best Friends brawl into the ring, and in the chaos, Cassidy avoids The Leech and plants Hardy with the Beach Break. Cassidy dishes out Orange Punches to The Factory, and Kris Statlander stops The Bunny from interfering. The Blade blasts Cassidy with brass knuckles, and Hardy pins him for the win.

Winner: Matt Hardy

After the match, H.F.O. attacks Cassidy and the Best Friends. Ryan Nemeth helps Hardy’s forces in the assault as H.F.O. stands tall.

Backstage: Just before their Hair vs. Hair main event match, Mark Henry speaks to Orange Cassidy and Jack Evans on a split-screen. Matt Hardy (who will be in Evans’ corner tonight) promises Cassidy will come out this bout with no hair. Cassidy is confused about what this match is. Henry reminds him what’s at stake, to which Cassidy replies, “I guess I better not lose then.”

And now, the main event!

Matt Hardy storms into the ring; Orange Cassidy isn’t sure what this is about. He turns around only to get attacked by Jack Evans. Cassidy recovers and hits his wonderfully done kicks. He looks for a backslide but Evans wiggles out at two. Cassidy swings Evans round and round by his hair! Nervous about what’s going on to his client, Matt Hardy drags Cassidy out of the ring and lands a massive slap. Evans is right behind with a corkscrew from off the apron and then a 450. Our broadcast goes to picture-in-picture!

Picture-In-Picture: Jack Evans stays on top of Cassidy. Seconds before the show goes back to full screen, Evans captures a handspring back elbow.

Cassidy fires up two dives on Hardy and Evans! Then, he scales the ropes for a top rope crossbody for a two count. Evans recovers with a Northern Lights Suplex followed by a Michinoku Driver and a standing corkscrew moonsault for a near-fall! Cassidy spikes Evans with a DDT and a diving DDT for another 2.8 count!!

Hardy panics and brings out The Butcher, The Blade and The Bunny and the rest of the Hardy Family Office. Then, Chuck Taylor, Wheeler Yuta, Kris Statlander and The Dark Order come out to defend Cassidy. Meanwhile, back in the ring, Cassidy knocks Evans sideways with his Superman punch. 1-2-3, Cassidy keeps his luscious locks!

Winner: Orange Cassidy

Post-Match: Say goodbye to Jack Evans’ hair. Yuta and Taylor are dressed in barber uniforms. Cassidy is first with the scissors. Everyone is having a blast. We end it with The Dark Order, Cassidy, Yuta, Statlander and Taylor surrounding -1 with a big hug in the center of the ring!

AEW World Tag Team Championship: The Lucha Brothers (with Alex Abrahantes) vs.
The Butcher and The Blade (with H.F.O.)
Rey Fenix and The Blade square off, and the champions take control because The challengers can’t keep up with Fenix’s speed. Penta El Zero M chops The Butcher, but the challengers gain the upper hand by isolating Fenix. Penta rallies with two Slingblades, and the Lucha Brothers dive onto their opponents outside the ring.

The Butcher and The Blade floor Penta and gang up on him. A cheap shot from Matt Hardy helps the challengers maintain the advantage. Fenix tags in and clears house; he gets a two count with a German suplex on The Blade. Fenix and Penta hit the Fear Factor, but The Butcher breaks up the pin.

The Blade gets a two count with a powerslam on Penta. The Blade ties Penta’s mask to the rope and takes him out of the equation. Fenix is left by himself, but Penta tears his own mask off to free himself and help Fenix get the pin.
