MATT HARDY: YOU HAD TO BE THERE
Back when Jeff and I were in the indies, we were driving to another show and we were both pretty tired. Usually, it’s common courtesy when you’re riding shotgun with someone to stay awake, if only for safety reasons. We’d had a late night, and I’m saying to Jeff, ‘Whatever you do, please stay up with me because I’m exhausted.’ We start driving and 30 minutes into the trip, he’s sleeping already. Just out cold in the passenger seat. I tried turning up the music, rolling down the windows, but he kept passing out. Eventually, we got close to home, and we drove past this construction site where there was this huge truck parked. I pulled off the rode and put our car in front of the truck so we were head to head. After waiting a few minutes, I leaned on the horn and screamed ‘Oh my GOOOODDDD!!!!!!’ Jeff jumped so hard that he almost kicked out the windshield. I looked at him and said, ‘Don’t you ever fall asleep on me again!’
